Tax evasion

An illegal practice where a person, organization or corporation intentionally avoids paying his/her/its   true tax liability. Those caught evading taxes are generally subject to criminal charges and substantial penalties.



Ghost Projects and Payrolls



This is done by high officials of the government whereby non-existing projects are financed by the government while non-existing personnel or pensioners are being paid salaries and allowance.





Evasion of Public Bidding in awarding of contracts

Government offices, particularly Bids & awards committees (BAC) forego the awarding of contracts through public bidding or award these contracts to favored business enterprises of contractors.

Passing of Contracts


In the construction of infrastructure projects, contractors have the practice of passing the work from one contractor to another.





Bribery


Also called ‘Lagay’ system or the act citizens to bribe government officials occupying sensitive positions in government is perpetuated due bureaucratic red tape.

This was the survey and also the infographics about our past survey. We have 100 correspondents as we they answer the question #1 i think that the government need to have a seminar or maybe include this one in the subjects that they teach the students. Like what subjects? It may Values Education, Character Education or Araling Panlipunan or also known as Makabayan or Hekasi. At the question #2 i'm satisfied with the result. As for #3 question about what was the punishment i think it was our own opinion although all the questions at the survey are depends on someone's knowledge and opinion. And for #4 I think all the given can be the effects of corruption. For the last number this was an essay, most of the respondents answered "be honest" and someone answer "we can't prevent" or "we can't stop or lessen this" but for me on my own opinion we can stop this, we can lessen this and we can prevent this. Corruption is a form of dishonest or unethical conduct by a person entrusted with a position of authority, often to acquire personal benefit.  People or I say that others think that corruption was only happening at the government or at a certain company and also they think that those people who had the power are the only person who can stole money but let me correct those, as time goes by corruption was happen way back Spanish period and up to now its already 21st century the cases of corruption is worsen.  Corruption is not only happening in government or company it also happen in a simple workplace and not only those people who has the power has the capability to stole money.
